In our film there are only 2 main characters which are the two protagonists, Adam and Louise, the story line is solely based around them so we did not feel the need for any other characters. As the story line focuses on contrast and being lucky and unlucky we felt we could also replicate the contrast in the appearance and mise en scene of the characters:
The attire of this character demonstrates he is going to school (suit and tie), however

in terms of mise en scene in order to emphasise the 'unlucky' nature attached to Adam we plan to make him look scruffy and unorganised. The part of Adam, played by George Vines, is believable as the actor is the same age as the character so the audience will have no problem distinguishing and relating to the character. Furthermore in terms of mise en scene we plan to have the character of Adam looking tired and fed up to further demonstrate his unlucky nature. I will be starring in the role as Adam due to practicality reasons and understanding of the script and character.
- LOUISE (EMMA DELANEY)

Like the character of Adam, Louise is also wearing a uniform to distinguish that she is going to school, however in order to show contrast between the characters we plan to have her looking very smart and presentable, also emphasising her 'lucky' nature. The role is played by Emma Delaney who is also the same age as the character played which makes it easy for the audiencee to distinguish that she goes to school. Unlike the mise en scene of Adam, Louise is chirpy and happy, to show the contrast between the 'lucky' and 'unlucky' characters. Furthermore we asked Emma Delaney to star in the role for practical reasons, as she is available around our shooting schedule.
