Magazine Idea Number 1
This layout was not favoured as we negative reviews regarding the landscape layout of the page. Also the structure of the page appears frantic and messy, which makes it hard and confusing to understand. We wanted the page to be more clear and structured, which we took into account in our final design. Also wanted to incorporate the use of subsidiary images in order to display more tasters into the film.
Magazine Idea Number 2
This layout was closer to our final design and many of the conventions of this kayout went into our final and completed design. We preferred the portrait page structure as it makes the page appear less cluttered and follows a more orthadox design. We liked the idea of a main image across the top half of the page, however in our final design we also used subsidiary images. We also preferred the idea of having the columns under the picture and headline, alongside the breakout box. Another difference from our final design is at this stage we did not incorporate a breakout paragraph in the columns.
Magazine Idea Number 3
The comments we recieved on this design helped us to decide how to display our page and what to include. We recieved negative reviews on the landscape layout so we distanced ourselves from this in our final design. We were told that the page appears to muddled and confusing. We were also told that the columns appear to long and rather boring for our younger target audience. All of this was taken into account when designing our final magazine layout.
